Addiction Prayers

1)“The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.” -Psalm 37:39

”But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.” -Psalm 13:5

Salvation belongs to you Lord, only you can truly deliver. I look to you for strength in my time of trouble as I see those I love struggling. Your love is perfect and unfailing. I can depend on you.

2)“...and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.” -2 Timothy 2:26

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some might call slackness. He wishes none should perish but all should come to repentance. -2Peter 3:9

Forgive me for doubting you in any away Lord Jesus, strengthen my heart in you. Forgive me for getting in your way with my loved one in any way Lord, trying to fix them or reacting in the flesh.  I entrust this situation and my loved one into your hands. Thank you for the privilege to pray for all those I love and wanting better for them than I do.

3)“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;” – Ephesians 5:18 

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” -1 Peter 5:8

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” -Proverbs 13:20

"And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." -John 10:5

"To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman." -Proverbs 6:24

Lord please release my loved one now from the captivity of the enemy and bring them back to you quickly, completely and permanently in Jesus name.  May they have no rest, no satisfaction in their addiction and being apart from you Lord. Help them now to overcome the spirit of alcoholism, drugs or addiction that make them misbehave and do immoral things. Cancel all events and occasions today that open them up to alcohol, drugs, and immorality.  Please shift circumstances in their life right now that will disconnect him from all alcohol, addiction and immorality. Turn them instead to you Jesus and back to our family. Please separate them from all evil friends and associations both now and forever.  Please surround them with your wall of fire and hedge of thorns so that they cannot go on paths of evil. Break the bond of friendship with those that corrupt their life and lead them into temptation.  Help them now by guiding them in your wisdom.  Give them clean, honorable thoughts that will edify their being in Jesus name. Block every voice that calls my loved one out to buy or drink alcohol and drugs…or to participate in any type of immorality. Please shift circumstances now that would cause them to cry out to you and be saved from this addiction now.  Please Lord, give me the mind of Christ for them and your love to see them as you do. Help me trust you as you bring them back to you fully, the solid rock of Jesus Christ.
