Hope from the beginning.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” -Genesis 1:1-2

How great is our God, the Mastermind who gave life from the beginning!  To Him be the glory for all of creation.  How wonderful and marvelous is He who chose to breathe life.  Not only did He create the heavens and the earth, but He used it as a platform to create us. He also created our spouses for His glory.  He wanted to grant us all life.  He has had a masterplan from the beginning of time, for our lives and for our spouses since the beginning of time. The basis of the foundation of the heavens and the earth is that God created us and our spouses for His ultimate good. He chose to give us all life!

It’s so amazing that from the beginning when there was darkness, mass emptiness, no earth...nothing, but God was there.  How hopeful is this that when things may look void and empty in the circumstances in our lives, God remains there available.  In our dark times of deep pain, the Lord is right there hovering over us.  He sees what is going on, He sees our hearts.  The Spirit of God is here with us to be with us and to walk with us oh so close.  He is hovering over our spouse as well right now, he sees the pain they are experiencing too. Nothing is hidden from Him.

“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.  So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them male and female he created them.” -Genesis 1:26-27

The Lord created both us and our spouses. We are all created in the image of God! He gave us dominion over the earth.  Both male and female are created in His image. The Lord is our Creator and our Maker.  We all have His likeness, this brings so much hope that God longs we all have a God conscious of whom His plan and purposes can be known.  We are the Lord’s vessels and His will can be accomplished through us and our marriages. He has given mankind the opportunity to partner with Him in life!
