1) Seek God first, go to Him and His Word for everything, He will never let you down.
“In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. -Psalm 18:6
“I will never leave you nor forsake you” -Hebrews 13:5
2) Fall in love with Jesus, pouring your heart, giving it to Him. Obey Him, He will help you.
“As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.” -John 15:9
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” -Jeremiah 29:13
“And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.” -2 John 1:6
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” -Dueteronomy 30:19-20
3) Wait, be still before moving. Don’t act hastily in decisions, seek the Lord.
“Be still and know I am God.” Psalm 46:10
“Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.” -Acts 19:36
“Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.” -Ecclesiastes 5:2
“Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.: -Psalms 119:2
4) Believe and walk in obedience.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16
“Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;” -Deuteronomy 8:6-7
5) Stop talking to others about your circumstances. Go to God before man, get in this habit of going to Him alone. If you need to then talk to someone, have one or two trusted friends who can walk with you and believe on Gods Word with you.
“A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.” -Proverbs 11:13
“He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.” -Psalm 15:2-3
“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” -Proverbs 17:17
“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” -proverbs 18:24
6) Stop arguing with your spouse and work on getting the plank out of your own eye. Don’t stalk them. Ask God to remove any hate, hurt from your heart so you are freed to begin to see your spouse as God sees.
“Do all things without murmurings and disputing:” -Philippians 2:14
“But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,” -2 Timothy 2:23-24
“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” -Psalm 51:1-10
7) If you have children, don’t involve them in speaking bad about your spouse. Train them up in Christ and honor for your spouse, encourage them to pray.
“To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.” -Titus 3:2
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” -Proverbs 22:6
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
